Full house in Ottawa

The RA club was proud to have Pascal as our guest for the evening on June 29, 2006. The evening began with Pascal answering questions in the crowd, on a lot of different chess topics. Pascal then showed us his brilliant win over Anand. At about 8:30 the simul began with Pascal taking on 30 players. This was a tough field with a couple of masters and expert veteran players. In the end Pascal won 19 games, lost only 2 (David Gordon and Ray Kuryliw) and drew 9.

Timing was perfect as the CFC office received Pascal's Grandmaster certificate from FIDE on the morning of the event. Former CFC President Halldor Palsson presented Pascal with the certificate.
